This past weekend our South Carolina Chapter held its final program of 2015 and first overnight programs with their fall camp out.  Led by Program Director Matt Hellman, it was a great time spending time with these young men from single parent homes and mentors.  The program started off Friday night as all the young men arrived at the camp site at were ready to get underway.  We had a warm fire and began getting dinner ready.  We had a great meal around the camp fire and then Mentor Joel Burgher led us in a devotional that challenged all of us.  We capped off the night with some smores, camp fire riddles, and some flashlight tag.  It was a chilly night, but we did manage to get some sleep.  Saturday morning we got up cold but got the camp fire going quickly.  We shared around the campfire and ate a good breakfast.  Shortly after it was time to head home.  We got cleaned up and packed up all of our gear and were then checked out and headed home.  This was a great first overnight program for South Carolina and great way to end of first year of outdoor ministry here.  God has established a great group of mentors and young man as a foundation to build our chapter and programs on for 2016 here in the greater Columbia area.  We know God has some great things in store for the new year and are we are excited about the young men that He will lead our way to be a part of our South Carolina programs.

Please continue to keep our South Carolina Chapter in your prayers and for God to lead more young men from single parent homes and mentors to be part of what He is doing here through this location.
