Our Garden Program in Georgia for May was rained out.  We were supposed to get our garden planted and ready to roll but the weather did not allow us to.  Instead we turned to our ministry partner Church of the Vine for an alternate plan.  They graciously allowed us to use their gymnasium on Friday to still get together and spend some time with our young men and mentors.  Once everyone arrived Friday evening we got things started with a pizza dinner served by Leslie Brooks and Carrie Davis.  It was a good dinner and everyone enjoyed it.  We played a little basketball, threw the football, and had some good fellowship afterwards.  We settled in to hear a devotional led by mentor Branden Atkins who shared with us about living for Jesus and our walk with Him.  After the devotional and some prayer time it was time to recognize our leaders for the Summer Leader Trip.  The winners for this trip were Austyn, Manny, Daniel K, and Ian.  These young men have earned their way onto this trip for being a leader in our programs, at home, and in school.  We will be hitting the beach and going deep sea fishing with these leaders in July.  This trip will be fun, exciting, and challenging as we will get the opportunity to share with these boys about being a Christian leader.  After recognizing the leaders we had the opportunity to say goodbye to two of our old timers.  Zach and Djuwon are both original boys that started Truth in Nature almost 8 years ago.  We have seen them grow in so many aspects of their life.  They both graduate this year and head off into different paths of life.  Both are entering the military to begin with to serve our country and then go wherever God will lead them.  As we closed down the recognition we prayed over them and for God to continue to lead and direct their path.  Before leaving for the night we all grabbed some brownies and then finished off with a little basketball.

It was great to still get together and spend time with our boys and mentors.  As we enter our summer months at Truth in Nature many of our boys will be attending other activities and such, but all of our chapters will still be holding programs.  Please continue to lift up these programs and the work God continues to do with these young men through these programs and mentors.
