This past weekend our Dallas, Georgia Chapter held is July Explore & More Program.  Program Director, Don Brooks led this program and it was a combination of many good things rolled in to the same weekend. Friday night, we enjoyed a feast to say our goodbyes to Jukai, as he graduates our program and then celebrated his profession of faith in Christ by baptism with some of his family in attendance. We wish him all the best God has for him as he enters the next season of his life.  He has been a great participant in our programs over the years and we will surely miss him.  We also welcomed a new mentor, Clay Scott, to the TIN Family.  Devotion and small group followed as we heard and talked about how God can change the lives of those that perhaps everyone else has given up on. No one is beyond hope when it comes to God.  Afterward, an intense trivia game ensued before hitting the bunks.

Saturday morning, we enjoyed a big country breakfast, discussed goals for the day and headed out in teams to cut trails, clear and clean up around existing deer stands, built a ground blind, placed a buddy stand and created shooting lanes to prepare for the August 3D Archery Challenge. It was definitely a hot one but a good one as we headed back to camp to cool off, relax and enjoy lunch.  The boys and mentors displayed great efforts and teamwork to accomplish difficult tasks this weekend. This was also a way to show them that the same thing can be done in life when we surround ourselves with strong Godly friends who are willing to go the distance, even when life isn’t easy.

We are surely looking forward to next month, when the boys get to see and enjoy the benefits of all their hard work this weekend.  Please continue to keep our programs, mentors, Program Directors and everyone involved in this ministry lifted up in prayer.  May God continue to move and bless this organization and draw these young men closer to Him through His Creation.
