As we wrapped up our Spring Quarter last week, we reflect in knowing that God truly had his hand over this ministry and our programs.  Each chapter of Truth in Nature spent time with mentors and boys this quarter and we saw boys make life changing decisions.  We have many partners, sponsors, and individuals who come alongside our chapters and make this ministry effort possible.   We also could not do this without the dedicated men that give up their time to share their faith in Christ and passion for the outdoors with the boys in our programs.

As a recap, our chapters held exciting programs for the boys.  And as always, the meat of these programs revolves around how our mentors model and share their faith in Jesus with these boys while building bonds and providing a male role model for them.  In Apex, NC Program Director Cory Bowes led a rafting program, a fishing shootout program, and ended with an Inaugural Skeet Shoot fundraiser where they raised over $5,000 towards their programs in Apex.  In Bush, LA Program Director Ronnie Alpha led a Giving Back program, a bonus trip for 2 deserving young men in shore fishing, and rounded out with our first ever frogging program!  Our newest Chapter in Carrollton, GA led by Program Director Craig Jacobs had a mentor meet and greet and began spreading the word about the programs that officially kick off in July.  Daniel Beckham took over in Columbia, SC as Program Director as that chapter held a camping/hiking program, paintball program, and river float program.  Lee Hurley, Dallas, GA Program Director led a great quarter that included a spring leader trip Turkey Hunting for 3 deserving boys, a fishing program, and rounded out with a summer leader trip to FL and Senior recognition program.  Our Program Director in Houma, LA Kenneth Hobbs led Give Back program, held a car wash fundraiser where they raised over $1,400, and had a rain out fish/crab program where they spent the day at the trampoline park.  Jeff Benfield, our Lagrange, GA Program Director, held a fish and turkey workshop program, firearm orientation program, and rounded out with a 2-night program to the North Georgia Mountains.  In NE Atlanta, GA, Program Director James Hipp held a fishing program where 2 young men were baptized, a firearm orientation program, and a creek exploration and outdoor cooking combo program.  Up in Newberry, Mi Program Director Jim Duflo held a fishing program.

All of the programs this quarter were a true success while boys learned new or honed existing outdoor skills with mentors.  However, the true success is time we give and the seeds God plants while sharing about Him and our Christian faith.  We saw 2 more young men make decisions for the Lord this quarter from our Dallas, GA Chapter.  We are proud of Kaiden and Lance for their new found faith in Jesus.  Please continue to pray over this ministry effort to these fatherless boys.  If you are interested in mentoring, partnering with a local chapter, involving a boy from fatherless home, or maybe even starting a chapter in your local community please Contact US today!  We give God the Glory for all He continues to accomplish through this ministry effort.
